Sometime during the next 30 to 60 days I will be transitioning from the
Director of Operations position to the Director of Safety position at my
airline. Can any of you suggest sources of information concerning
developing, implementing, and running aviation safety programs? Is
there perhaps a group like the CRM group that looks more generically at
broad safety issues?
I've been given free reign to reorganize our safety program and I want
to be certain that I use every available resource. I'd appreciate any
and all help.
I have gotten a tremendous amount of wonderful material from the CRM
Developers Group via the web site--and I hope to be able to start
actively contributing when I move into the new position. (I'm also
looking forward to getting out and flying the line more. It's a lot
more fun to sit in the left front chair than in a desk chair!)
