=====This has been done in the past when we had either two Captains or two
FO to train in the groundschool portion of the 737 program at Boeing. The
Capt always flew the airplane and the FO always supported. We found that it
allowed each person to concentrate on just one area of performance at a time
and it will give the new FO the knowledge of what the flying person needs
for support. The negative side was that it did not allow full time training
in one position. The results were acceptable. I think it is better without
question to pair Capt and FO personnel...it allows some experience transfer
to the new guy during the training.
