TEACHING AN OLD DOG A NEW TRICK (CRM)

What a very interesting and well portrayed angle to the debate - a comment from
a "relatively" old dog who actually believes strongly in CRM!

The old dog who survived 30-40 years and 20,000 hours, most probably was either
just lucky, or used CRM all of his working life. I suspect that in most cases,
the latter. He may not like to have "effective flight deck behaviours"
re-invented into a new science, as if effective leadership and teamwork were a
sudden discovery!

The old dog who is a natural stick and rudder man, but has high ratings in the
authoritarian, overbearing, premadonna department, may soon need to hang up the
goggles, before the rising tide of CRM appreciation drowns him completely.
Retirement is better chosen than ordered.

Regards.
