To Tony and fellow interested CRMers
I have used two different types of software for the qualitative analysis
of critical incidents and interviews, both now outdated and old. The first was
called "Ethnograph" and the second is called "Qualpro." I seem to always
default to the manual mode however, using highlighters and different colored
inks especially if I am using audio or vidiotape. I had a mentor who used the
word search function in our standard word processing programs, but I prefer to
keep the flexibility of open coding (assigning my own interpretations). After
the data is condensed, I use a standard spreadsheet application to weight and
apply standard quantitiative techniques as required. (I feel my head morphing
into an eggshape, so I'd better stop talking like this and get back to work!)
Cheers

To Tony Kern:
Do you use any type of information management program (i.e. Folioview) or
qualitative analysis program (i.e. NUDIST) to assess and determine trends. If
so, what you use may be very helpful to all.
