Hello All:
About the noise, in my personal experience I think I rather have =
little but alot. When I flew DC-3, I could not get things just right =
because the headphones were not pretty good. So I purchased those ANR =
(active noise reduction) head sets and let me tell you that things did =
really change.
I fly a twin otter, also very noisy but not as much. For me, noise =
is important because sometimes depending on the noise i know when the =
props are not at the same RPM. Although, when my headset batteries run =
out, they become just like any other pair of headsets.
I have experimented with the ANR active and without. After that, I =
noticed that with less noise I am more relaxed, the air to ground =
communications are alot more efective, and I don't have a head ache from =
all those sounds (we call) that after adding them up the become a =
stressing NOISE.
The moral of this story is, that I believe the less the noise the =
better, but we can't enclose our selves to a noise free environment =
because we did not learn to fly in a jet, we learne in a single engine =
which was pretty noisy. Therefore we need some.
Thanx:
