Bader as Rogue?

Your comments about Bader were interesting and provocative. I especially
enjoyed your pointing out that Bader acheived his fame at a time when GB
needed heroes.

Many recognize that many great leaders were so during war...but failed to be
as productive during peacetime. There are two thoughts that come to mind
here:

1. The airline inducstry is never at war. What place now for these wartime
heroes?

2. Rogues may also adversely impact the wartime environment. During the
buildup to Desert Storm, the USAF lost five aircraft prior to the start of
hostilities...at least one appears to have been facilitated by rougish
behavior resulting in collision with the ground.

Just more fire for confusion...
