We are also working on a joint CRM/Human Factors course for our crews.
One of the appraoches we are trying out is "team teaching", we put two
facilitators in one class, one facilitator is a pilot and the other is a
flight attendant. The class consists of a 50/50 mixture of line pilots
and flight attendants, and the group is together for one full day. We
cover communications, stress, fatigue, and behavioral styles. We also
include several group/team exercises. This is very new to our company
and we are learning as we go but its a start.We are determined to train
together because it promotes mutual respect and trust.
