Hello Alicia,
Our aircraft uses "Loadmasters" in the back of the plane, and we have
always trained them with the "cockpit" crew. They are a vital part of the
crew, and yet have similar barriers that a cabin crew has: technical training
is quite different, workload levels and phases are different, rank and pay is
different, and educational background is different than the cockpit crew.
They appreciate the CRM training that acknowledges their inputs,
challenges, and role in the success of the mission.
Yes, they should be trained together. After all, don't they fly
together?
