The following mnemonics have been used as a guide for prioritising the
decision-making process in airline operations:

1. RAISE (Recognise the problem - Analyse solutions - Identify
the best solution - Select a plan of action - Evaluate the outcome)

2. SADIE (Share information - Analyse to see if there is a
problem - Develop a solution - Implement a solution - Evaluate the
result)

3. FATE (Fly the aircraft - Analyse the problem - Take action
- Evaluate the result)

Question 1. How do people feel about No3 - bearing in mind that
flying the aircraft is the most important task in any phase of flight?

Question 2. What do other airlines use?
