For example, HUDs which were originally certified for use in Part 121
operations are now being proposed for Part 91 ops. Since 121 operators must
have established training programs that require flight crews to demonstrate
proficiency with specific devices, there is a focus for any issues relating to
sufficient experience or demonstration of proficiency with such sophisticated
systems. However, Part 91 ops do not have such a regulatory requirement.
