Re: Aviation Psychologists - who needs 'em?

Hi:

Finding the discussion on the new guidance in the JAR-FCL regarding who
may train CRM very interesting, but not having the actual guidance text
available, I was wondering about the following:

Does the JAR-FCL guidance require AT LEAST one (the main) trainer to
comply with the air transport certification/currency requirement, or does
it specifically PROHIBIT anyone without the ATPL/currency requirement to
teach CRM?

Asked differently:

Is it ok for someone who does not comply with the ATPL/currency
requirement to be active in the classroom, as long as a person fulfilling
the requirement is present and officially responsible?

The reason I am asking this is, that in any case, an aviation
psychologist without an ATPL/currency could be seen as a part of the
"training material," just like a CBT course, a training video, etc. Given
that, I guess the above regulatory guidance does not mean "out with
non-pilots," but rather: Pilots should be responsible, as they are in
flight training, simulator training, etc.

Would like to hear anybody's opinion on this.
