Hello Laurie,

I am developping training programs on the same subject in Canada and would
recommend you two great papers by Rebecca Chute (NASA) :

Chute, R. D. & Wiener, E. L. (in press). Cockpit/cabin communication: I. A
tale of two cultures. International Journal of Aviation Psychology, 5(3),
pp.257-276. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Inc.

Chute, R. D. & Wiener, E. L. (in press). Cockpit/cabin communication: II.
Shall we tell the pilots? International Journal of Aviation Psychology

The are a good introduction the the problems of communication between the
cabin and flight deck.

You can find both these papers on the web at Rebecca's home page at
http://olias.arc.nasa.gov/personnel/people/rebecca_chute.html

Many Happy Landings
