flightdeck/cabin crew communication

Hello CRMers,

I am a pilot with 20 years military (C130 & HS125) and 10 years corporate
jet experience.

I am currently teaching ATPL license theory subjects and presenting
initial CRM awareness courses to my own students and several small
airlines, and trying to develop a recurrent course. I also fly freelance
for several corporate operators, some with flight attendants and some
without.

To try to keep the boredom at bay :=) I am researching flightdeck/cabin
crew interactions with a view to how CRM for cabin crew might help. I am
especially interested in intra-cultural and communication issues. I
am aware of some work in these areas but would be grateful for any
input/references/good or bad experiences that can help me to highlight
the areas of most concern. In particular, I have no personal experience of
sterile cockpits (either formal as in North America, or informal in accordance
with company SOPs) or flightdeck and/or cabin crew changeovers part way
through multi-sector flights.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
